Discover Scuba Diving
During the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience, you will be introduced to the basic components of scuba diving equipment and learn how they work. The main goal of the program is to help you feel comfortable and confident using the equipment in shallow water.
The experience lasts approximately 3 hours and includes a short theory session with your instructor. You will learn the essential principles for a safe and enjoyable dive and become familiar with the scuba equipment before entering the water.
You will then dive together with your instructor, starting in very shallow water where you can stand, gradually building confidence and comfort. The underwater session lasts about one hour, with a maximum depth of 7–10 meters.
This experience allows you to discover and enjoy a completely new and fascinating underwater world.
The Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) , program is not a certification on its own. However, the skills you learn correspond to the first stage of the PADI Open Water Diver Course and can be credited toward your certification if you decide to continue and become a certified scuba diver.
